Storage
Settings
How storage works for your organization. These values come from your plan, so they can’t be changed here.

Allowance
Files and Buckets share one allowance for your whole organization.
- Shared allowance
- —The most your organization can store across Files and Buckets.
- Used now
- —Everything stored in Files and Buckets today.
- Held for uploads
- —Space set aside for uploads that haven’t finished yet. It’s released when they complete or are cancelled.
At the limit: uploads that would go over the allowance are refused. Everything you’ve already stored stays available. Delete files you no longer need to free space.
Uploads
How files travel from your computer to Thora.
- Largest file
- —Bigger files are refused before the upload starts.
- Upload part size
- —Large files are sent in parts, so a dropped connection can pause and resume instead of starting over.
- Unfinished uploads
- —If you leave mid-upload, choose the same file again from Files to continue.
Access
Who can see and change what is stored.
- Files
- Shared with your organizationMembers can browse, upload and download. Anyone can delete what they uploaded; administrators can delete any file.
- Buckets
- —Only organization administrators create buckets and access keys. Each key reaches only its own bucket.
- Public access
- OffBuckets are always private. Temporary links you create expire within one hour.
S3 connection
Use these values in any S3-compatible tool or SDK.
- Endpoint
—Point your S3 client here instead of Amazon’s default address.- Region
- —S3 clients always ask for a region. Use this one.
- Addressing
- —Path-style means the bucket name goes in the URL path, not the hostname.
- Largest multipart part
- —For multipart uploads, keep each part at or under this size.
Deleting
Deletion is permanent, so Thora asks before anything is removed.
- Deleted files can’t be restored.
- A folder can be deleted only when it’s empty.
- A bucket can be deleted only when it’s empty and all of its access keys are revoked. Cleanup can take about five minutes.
